Meeting For The First Time || Puck&Cal
Cal could barely listen to him because it all happened so fast and he was suddenly hugging her and she felt so fucking relieved. Holding him tight, she let the tears fall, too much emotion built up inside her. Nuzzling into his chest, she let out a shaky breath. Gulping, she smiled up at him with tears in her eyes. “Half-sister, actually. Step means were aren’t related,” she corrected, blushing though. “Whatever though. Anyway. Um. Come in,” she said, falling back into the hug again, feeling safe in his strong arms. Reluctantly letting go, she wiped at her face sloppily and ushered him in. Cal closed the door behind him and lead him to the kitchen. “Want anything to drink?” she asked timidly, trying her best to please him. Maybe she should chill. Kicking awkwardly, she sighed. “Well I’m glad you don’t hate me. This is just weird, isn’t it?” Cal said softly, giggling a little. “And for the record, I think the ‘hawk is totes badass. Don’t let San ever shave it off,” she mentioned, smiling and hearing the waffle iron ding that his waffles were ready.
Even though she was still crying against his chest, he felt a little more at ease than he did before when he first got here. His hand smoothed up and down her back to try and calm her down, hoping it was working. He chuckled a bit, smiling back at her, “Half-sister.” He didn’t find that as weird anymore, he could definitely get used to it. And it was weird, as he looked at her, it was like he was looking into his own eyes. That’s what freaked him out the most, but it also made this all more real. He nodded, stepping inside her condo and turning around as she shut the door. He welcomed the hug happily, wrapping both of his arms around her this time, making it feel more comfortable than last time. He followed her into the kitchen, “Water’s good, thanks.” He chuckled a bit and shrugged, “Isn’t that how it usually is though? Long lost half-siblings meeting for the first time, sounds like every single drama movie or show out there. But yeah, it’s supposed to be weird at first. Honestly, I thought it would be a lot weirder than this.” He raised an eyebrow at her, running a quick hand through his hair, “Glad to know the ‘hawk has won someone else over, awesome. This thing is fuckin’ awesome, I tell you.” He looked at her with wide eyes when he heard a ding, “Wait, stop. Is that what I think it is?” If that’s a waffle maker, he might die. Legit.
When he looked her in the eyes like that, she swallowed thickly. He looked so much like their father it was ridiculous. She tucked her hair behind her ear and giggled nervously. “Okay. Water it is,” she replied once they were in the kitchen. “Pop a squat. There’s stools under the counter,” Cal said, smiling at him cordially. Cal went to the fridge to get him a bottle of water and then to the cabinet to get him a cup. Walking back to him, she listened to him as she poured the water for him. “Me too. I thought you’d like be all standoffish and mean,” she admitted softly, wincing and offering him and apologetic smile as she passed him the glass. “I’ll say. Hair’s the key to good se—” but she cut herself off, horror crossing through her features and clearing her throat. Turning around, she walked to the waffle iron, she opened it and used a spatula to dish it out on the plate. Turning back, she smiled. “If you’re thinking it’s a xbox, then no you’re wrong,” she giggled, trying to be funny as she passed him the homemade waffles, still hot. “Whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or maple syrup?” she asked politely, folding her hands in front of her.
Okay seriously. Back the fuck off Santana.
I am not in the fucking mood right now. She’s been nothin’ but chill to Hails. And Hails is happy. She sacrified a fuckload for her and shit. Alright?
^ i agree.
and not only that. from what i heard, she’s changed a lot. she was extremely nice to me when i first got here and helped with my brother. so she HAS changed. she’s not a low life. at all.
The Princess and the Pauper || Cal & Cam
Cal giggled again and beamed up at him. “Well it’s a good thing I like dorks then!” she said, grinning and winking.
Tracing the circles on his hand, it was hard to concentrate on what he was saying because she could only focus on his lips moving. Biting her lip, she blushed, snapping out of it and smiling. “Jobs? You have more than one? Maybe I should visit you so I can see you in your uniform. I have a thing for hard working guys,” she said, smirking coyly at him. Cal was scared. Of him judging her. Again. But for all that she had gone through. Pushing that away, she picked up her mocha and sipped at it.
There was so much he didn’t know about her. So much about him she had yet to find out. Cal had already told him about her dad. And he took it fairly well. Sighing, she scratched her nose, tucking her hair behind her ear. “So what school did you go before this? And I mean I understand. That’s why I’m working here too. Money for college. I barely had any money back home, let alone food, so,” she said nonchalantly, shrugging a little. “Oh stop. I’m sure you’re plenty useful,” she mumbled, blinking at him slowly.
Cameron blushed slightly at her comment. She was flattering him way too much. “Awww shucks, ma’am. I don’t think I rock the dork look, but thank you.” he said in a pitch-perfect Western accent which he picked up on watching cowboy movies.
“Yeah. I’m a waiter at the Cheesecake Factory and a tour guide at Disney. You really should visit sometime. It would be nice to wait on someone I actually know.” he said and chuckled lightly. He watched the little movements she made. She was right, the little things are the ones that are noticeable.
“Well, I went to McKinley with Kurt in high school. But we barely spoke to each other. Or even made eye contact whenever we passed by each other in the hallway. I’m used to it, though.” he said and sipped his coffee. He was surprised that she was working for college, too. One of the many things they had in common. “It’s hard, isn’t it? But that’s life, you know? What about you? What school did you go to?” he asked, looking at her beautiful eyes.
He chuckled a little before taking another sip. “I don’t really know what I’m useful at, so I guess I’d have to find out.”
The accent was so cute, she couldn’t handle it. The giggle and snort that escaped her were anything but cute. Her face heated up and she looked down, thoroughly embarrassed.
Smiling up at him shyly, she nodded. “I’d love to. Cheesecake is my favorite. And the Mac ‘N Cheese there is to die for,” she commented, drinking her mocha and letting out a satisfied ‘Ahhh’. “Well I mean I am a princess. So I’m pretty much used to like… Everyone I know waiting on me. So I’ll be used to it,” she bantered, winking at him and smirking. Her thumb played with his and she smiled distractedly. Humming out tunelessly, she took another sip of her coffee.
Cal looked back at him and nodded. “I mean I’m only a junior. But I’m trying to do a summer course to get out as soon as I can. I hate it in New Jersey,” she scoffed, shaking her head. “I was born a train ride in the wrong direction. New York is where I wanna be,” she said, grinning and looking off dreamily. “I went to high school in New Jersey. It sucked. A lot of drama. A lot of opinions. A lot of rumors. No fun,” she said, shrugging a shoulder and toying with the cap of her coffee.
“Me too. But we’ll figure it out soon enough,” she said vaguely, nodding at little and smiling at him sweetly.
